Description
An SATB anthem for general use throughout the church year, but most appropriate for Easter Sunday. Pianist should be at least somewhat advanced. Composed for the choir of Crighton College, and premiered there. The movable pitch sets and rhythm form a counterpart to the Christmas season's Ukrainian Bell Carol, with a rising trajectory that beautifully celebrates the moment of Christ's rising. Piano is most appropriate instrument for accompaniment, but organ or both is effective.
