Description
Inspired by the Purcell setting, and his masterful music for Queen Mary, Close Thine Eyes can be sung by SA sections or by two soloists. Accompaniment is listed as harpsichord, but can be taken by any appropriate keyboard instrument to the venue. Also employable are harp, lute, arch-lute, guitar, strings, viols, or portative organ with continuo instrument.
